Here is my picture for today's prompt: bright red colour of strawberries.
This picture was clicked in 2008 when we went to Panchgani for our First Anniversary. Panchgani and Strawberries are sort of synonymous. There's this place called MAPRO in Panchgani which is famous for a whole lot of delectables like Jams, Fruit Crushe concentrates, Spice Tea and Sandwiches. It is hard to miss the place. It is always swarming with tourists.
The twin towns of Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar are great getaways from Pune and Mumbai. Both are next to each other and boast of a beautiful weather. But personally I have gone there so many times that I tell my hubby, not Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar please!

Wow! They look so bright and fresh... feel like picking them from here! Yes, have seen these all around Panchgani. And that Mapro factory outlet has such a huge variety of flavours of juices and crushe!
ReplyDeleteWe were passing through MAPRO, and some ladies were selling these. I could not resist a click. They looked so lovely :)
DeleteDroolicious!;)
ReplyDeleteAh, just bring them over, Reema! :D We'll add them to pancakes and maple syrup!
ReplyDeleteSo, tempting, aren't they?
DeleteI love Strawberry!!! And MAPRO is a place?? It is a company also na?
ReplyDeleteNever been to either of the places. Or Pune for that matter. Wanting to add all these to my Itinerary someday. :)

DeleteYes, there's a place called MAPRO where they sell MAPRO goodies and delicious sandwiches. They grow strawberries there. Why you haven't gone to Panchgani yet?
So that's what fresh strawberries look like! I've seen boxed/packed ones so far... several days old. They don't look quite as bright as these. Neat pic
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. If you visit Panchgani, you would find strawberries everywhere!
DeleteRed is a nice colour - a very different take on the prompt.
