As a policy, I never share any personal photographs on my blog because it is too public a space for my liking. I cannot tell you how many times, these past days, I have drafted posts with personal photographs and deleted them.
This one time, I give in. This picture was taken exactly a year back. In the picture is my son, with his Mother :-)

You don't blog under a pseudo ID though, so why the reluctance to post personal pics?
ReplyDeleteI am scared of technology. I keep reading articles about why we should not be posting too much of personal information and photos. Plus, once you post a picture it keeps floating in the web world. I am still OK with my own pictures (though sparingly), I draw the line when it comes to the little one. I don't post too many of his pics even on FB.
DeleteThats right very few share personal things on social sites. Internet makes everyones personal lives public like stars and politicians.
ReplyDeleteThere are 3 reasons why I don't share too many pictures:
Delete1. I don't want too many of my personal pictures floating around. Blog is pretty public space, anybody visiting knows all about you, Isn't that scary?
2. My son might not like me to share so much information and pictures of him, when he grows up
3. I can't be posting info and pics myself all the time and stop him from doing that in a few years. We all need to abide by the common rules
:-)
Good one! And good to see that the backlog is completed! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you :-)
DeleteI am glad I have been able to catch up!
Good one :) You've shared your pic, and kept your privacy too :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad I had such picture. I love silhouettes :-)
DeleteAwww and still you have managed to hide in silhouette :) not that I am complaining because I already know how u look ;)
ReplyDeleteMy picture is already there on my blog and my first post of this challenge :-)
DeleteI just wanted to suitably hide the little one.
The concern is not of friends but of those who aren't.
Thou a silhuete it captures the spirit...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :-)
DeleteI originally wanted to do my mother's silhouette, but did not have much time.
I dont think a pic or two will harm but ya as part of photo challenge am posting personal pics + collages fiirst time :)
ReplyDeleteGood day
Ya you are right and I look forward to seeing pictures on the blogs I read or of pictures of friends on Facebook,I am not very comfortable myself. I am a control-freak. I need to be in control of the information and pictures, I am dishing out.
