After giving so much gyaan on our group on how I had an idea to capture "change" in a photo, I decided to take a short-cut on this one.
My husband is obsessed with Rooh-afza these days. So, I thought may be I will make use of some, and show it mixing with water and the transition in the colour of the water. In theory, it sounded good but then I flipped when I actually had to do it.
Incidentally, I had quite a lot of change on me, so I thought 'why not!' Technically, my picture is still about "change". There is something called 'Creative Liberty', isn't there?
I am finicky about having enough cash and change with me, before I step out of home (even for just an evening stroll inside the society). I hate going out with just cards, and I always tell my husband to always follow that too. The reason being you never know when you would need cash immediately. In India, as you know, in a lot of places people refuse to take card and ask for cash.
It is also not enough to just have cash, you need to have the lower denominations too. So, I have this habit of taking change from wherever possible in my transactions. I will first offer a bigger note, if there is no way I am getting away with that, then only I hand over the change. I hoard change. And therefore, what you see in the picture is what I am carrying in my wallet at the moment, all of it.

Wow... I see so much 'change' in posts today... will that make me rich :-P
ReplyDeleteHa ha if only pictures had that kind of power!
DeleteWe like our short-cuts ;-)
This is cool...this is absolutely 'change' :)
ReplyDeleteThat's the best I could manage :-(
DeleteYeah thae problem of change in India is very cumbersome.
ReplyDeleteYes. All the time/ Just when you are not carrying enough change.
DeleteSo much of change in all pics today :p
ReplyDeleteWish they come out of the posts so that I use them ;)
If that had been the case, I would have bought more books :-)
DeleteGood one. Two of you have gone the 'change' way. It never even occurred to me!
ReplyDeleteHa ha there are more. And I am glad there are others who have thought of something else also because it is always exciting to see how others are interpreting the prompt :-)
Deleteso much change around today, a kid would have been very happy thinking abt his piggy bank :)
ReplyDeleteI have one which I featured in the 'Mailbox' but hubby is superstitious about keeping too much change in the house. So, as soon as it piles up to so many, we spend it.
DeleteLove the picture.
ReplyDeleteI am glad :)
DeleteArre, I WANT to see that other pic now... the one of roohafza mixing with water! :(
ReplyDeletePost it too pleaseeeee!
Arre do you want me to do double mehnat? That can also be done with Korako - blue mixing with water. I will try but no promise :-)
DeleteI could throw in some change too. :-)
ReplyDeletePlease do. I will buy some books :-)
DeleteAs I said in Shilpa's blog the blog world is cash rich today or can we call u chillar queen?? :D
ReplyDeleteI had this idea of making a roti and see how it changes color and gets spots but didn't try it!
Chillar party :-)
DeleteHow would you show roti popping the spots in one single picture, dear?
why not? When the roti is on flame it has multiple colors!!!!
DeleteGood idea for pic :-) I m clueless till now..
ReplyDeleteNo idea what to post :-)
That is the reason I did it real early otherwise everyone will do it first :-)
DeleteSo much Change on our blogs today! :D
ReplyDeleteAre we soul sisters, Reema?? This is exactly what I do too... never step out without my wallet. And I go a step further... I have 2 zipped compartments in my wallet... so one has only 2 Rs coins and the other one has 10, 5 and 1 Rs coins. So, no hassle of checking whether it is a one rupee or 2 rs coin, when handing out the change! :D
Soul sisters? Must be Shilpa. We have so many similarities. But I bow before you, keeping 2 separate compartments for different kinds of change!!
DeleteHaa we picjed the same topic huh!
ReplyDeleteYours has an added story too. Mine is just change. I liked yours.
DeleteThey are handy and helpful! And 5-ers are my favorite :-)
ReplyDeleteGives me confidence to go out and shop shop, especially small things like veggies :-)
DeleteWow! That is a lot of change. :)
