This is the good-old drum beating toy which we all
used to have in our childhood. So, we thought our kiddo must also have one. We
bought this from a stall while visiting a beach town. And it immediately
clicked with the little one. He loved it.
One fine day, curiosity got the better of him, and
he thought pulling the hands and drum out would be a great idea. Since my
husband is good at putting things together again and so that we don’t
get into the habit of throwing everything that is broken or torn, I saved
it.
Now once in a while the little one pulls out this
toy and insists we make him do "dug-dug" again.
And I keep telling him that he is the one who did “ye haath mujhe de de thakur” to the poor thing.
ROTFL @ “ye haath mujhe de de thakur”! :D
ReplyDeleteLOL !! he is a sholay fan :P
ReplyDeleteArre nahi. He is too young now, just 21 months. I thought that dialogue went very well with the incident :-)
DeleteLOL :D That's a good one, Reema :) But do share this post with him when he is old enough to understand this dialogue :D
ReplyDeleteGood one for the theme :)
Shilpa, I have a diary and file of sorts for memories of his first times or thoughts that cross my mind, etc, etc. May be I will take a print and keep it for later :-)
Deletelol!!! That is a good one especially the haath de de thakur!! U made him gabbar :D
ReplyDeleteAnd I have often realised that kids love the simplest toys the most! Nahin?
Psst we think on the same lines :)
These little devils are no less than Gabbar. The way they terrorize us - picking up things which can break or putting themselves in danger!
DeleteYes, kids love simple toys and simple things. It is us, who make things complicated :-)
We always think on similar lines. I am sure you are also dying to flaunt your books, don't you? I am just waiting for the right opportunity.
hehehe already taken a photo! :D
DeleteSome day I want to pile them all up and take lots of pictures - classified as per colours or in alphabetical order or as per genres....oh, I am going crazy!
DeleteLol, kids want to disassemble their toys all the time!
ReplyDeleteToys as well as Books. I feel so bad for the books, not so much for the toys!
DeleteTht toy bought back such niceee memories :). Hugs to u....
ReplyDeleteOooh hugs back :-)
Deletet is their birthright! Kids must break toys! What fun is childhood otherwise. :) The dialogue brought on a smile, totally befitting the situation. :)
