May Photo A Day : Day 22: Change

After giving so much gyaan on our group on how I had an idea to capture "change" in a photo, I decided to take a short-cut on this one.

My husband is obsessed with Rooh-afza these days. So, I thought may be I will make use of some, and show it mixing with water and the transition in the colour of the water. In theory, it sounded good but then I flipped when I actually had to do it.

Incidentally, I had quite a lot of change on me, so I thought 'why not!' Technically, my picture is still about "change". There is something called 'Creative Liberty', isn't there?

I am finicky about having enough cash and change with me, before I step out of home (even for just an evening stroll inside the society). I hate going out with just cards, and I always tell my husband to always follow that too. The reason being you never know when you would need cash immediately. In India, as you know, in a lot of places people refuse to take card and ask for cash.

It is also not enough to just have cash, you need to have the lower denominations too. So,  I have this habit of taking change from wherever possible in my transactions. I will first offer a bigger note, if there is no way I am getting away with that, then only I hand over the change. I hoard change. And therefore, what you see in the picture is what I am carrying in my wallet at the moment, all of it.

    1. I have one which I featured in the 'Mailbox' but hubby is superstitious about keeping too much change in the house. So, as soon as it piles up to so many, we spend it.

  11. So much Change on our blogs today! :D
Are we soul sisters, Reema?? This is exactly what I do too... never step out without my wallet. And I go a step further... I have 2 zipped compartments in my wallet... so one has only 2 Rs coins and the other one has 10, 5 and 1 Rs coins. So, no hassle of checking whether it is a one rupee or 2 rs coin, when handing out the change! :D
